SQL Event at Technovanza 2012: A Database Query Contest

The SQL event belonged to the I-Code programming track of Technovanza 2012. It was aimed at students who were comfortable with the Structured Query Language, the standard way of working with relational databases.

What participants did

The description used playful language that hinted at the skills involved: splitting and joining tables, setting off triggers and running queries. In practice, such contests test whether competitors can write correct SELECT statements, combine tables with joins and understand the behaviour of triggers.

Where it fit
