Little would have Ernő Rubik known in 1974 that his invention would cause people sleepless nights flipping his cube over and over again.For some it is a question of pride solving it and for some select people it is about solving it faster by that precious millisecond! If you belong to either category and you just cant get enough of the Rubik's Cube,then it doesnt get bigger than this for you!!

Technovanza,in association with the World Cube Association , brings to you the biggest Cubing competition in Mumbai.The battle is among the very best there is..You think you are among them?

Welcoming all the cubers to the mother of all cubing battles! You definitely dont wanna miss opportunity!

The schedule for the Rubik’s Cube Mumbai Open is as follows:

·        Each participant has to report at the Venue at the time mentioned.

·        At the venue a list will be displayed diving all the participants into different groups.  Each group will have a specific time slot.

·        Any participant who is not able to report on time will be declared as disqualified. ( WCA regulations will be followed)

·        At the venue, a main central schedule will be displayed outside the hall.

·        Changes, if any, will be made in the main schedule. All the participants are requested to update themselves time to time.

·        The format of each event will be informed at the venue.

·        No events will be pre-poned.

**If time permits, Magaminx will also be conducted.

1. Submit the registration form.Registration has to be done online. (The form will be available shortly.)
2. Make sure all your details are correct and you've selected all the events you want to take part in.
3. The competition is in association with the WCA, so we follow the World Cube Association Rules and Regulations.
4. Please make it a point to go through all the Rules therein prior to the competition.
   
5. Once the registrations are done, we'll display the schedule for the competition which every participant will be expected to follow.
6. Any problems regarding the schedule should be discussed with the Event Heads.
7. Competitors younger than 18 years must seek their parent(s)/guardian(s) permission.
8. Competitors must be able to provide a valid photo-identification while reporting at the venue of the event.

Q:I have not participated in any of such event before. Can I participate?
A:Yes.There is no criteria on who can participate. (Just that you should know how to solve the puzzle.)

Q: My average time right now is XYZ. Am I good enough for this competition?
A: Yes you are! and you know what! YES YOU ARE!

Q: Can I get accommodation? I am not from Mumbai.
A: Yes. Please keep checking the web-site and forums for further details.You will have to book your place in advance.

Q: I know how to solve 3*3. What are the rest of them?
A: Google is your best friend. Here are some links which may help you.

Q: I want to learn how to solve blindfold. Can anyone help?
A: Keep checking the website. Pre-festival workshops may include one!

Q: Do I have to get my own cube?
A: You will give your best with the cube you practice with. So we advise to get your own cube.

Q. Where can I find good quality puzzles?
A. In India, you can find good quality original Rubik’s cubes at Funskool stores. For bigger cubes and other puzzles, there are a lot of online stores like www.cube4you.com
