arm

Designing a robotic pseudo-arm controlled LIVE by Motion Capture of a human arm wearing sensor pads.

Hand(le) things that you could not even think of it before; the hottest metals to the most acidic solution.

A robotic arm, controlled through sensors attached to a human arm. Provided with rotational motion to emulate the working of human arm. Synchronised with the motion of human arm to give the real feel.

Applications:

Currently most Robotic arms are controlled using joysticks. Thus A.R.M.E.D. will usher in a new style of intuitive control. Applications include
1. Future addition of torso & legs will result in a complete exoskeleton
2. Dexterous handling of chemical testing equipment
3. Scaled up model can be made to handle heavy loads
4. Handling of hazardous materials like radioactive substances
