Build a bot that follows the path to its destination. An autonomous robot that follows a line drawn on a contrasting surface.

The robot that can complete our course in the shortest time is the winner. This part of the competition is to see who can best complete this basic task the best. You need to design a robot that moves as quickly as possibly without loosing the line.



 

Round 1:

1. The bots must cover the given track till the given checkpoint in the minimum time.
2. The time once started will not be stopped in case of the bot deviating from the line.
3. The bot will be allowed to deviate from the line for maximum 4 times(for which human assistance
4. will be required to bring it back on the line.). If the bot goes out of the line for the 5th time, the bot
5. will be disqualified.
6. The bots will be given maximum 4 minutes to cover the track after which they will be disqualified.

Round 2:

1. This round will be a one on one race between two bots.
2. For each pair of participants two races will be conducted with each bot on either sides of the track.
3. For the next race, the places of the bots will be interchanged.
4. The average of the two times of each bot will be considered in case the bots win a race each.

1. The track surface and course line may have crosses.
2. The course line will be 3cm wide.
3. The course line may be curved, with a minimum centerline radius of 15 cm for the Line Following course. Right angle turns may be expected in the line course.
4. The course line will be white, on a black surface.
5. The robot must deal with the lighting conditions as they appear. That is, room lighting will beset "as is" and won't be modified for individual contestants.
6. There will be no inclines in the track. The track will be on a level ground.

1. Robots must be autonomous and powered by an onboard power source(Battery eliminators will not be allowed). Human-operated remote controls are not allowed.
2. The maximum robot base dimension is 250mm(L) x 250mm(B)
3. There are no constraints on robot weight.
4. The robot may start the race in either orientation.
