IBM Technical Contest:
To ignite the innovation spirit of the young minds and to speed them on industry-relevant technologies, IBM will host an Onsite Competition "IBMTechnical Contest", during Technovanza at VJTI. The contest is designed such that the participating students will be required to go through content available in IBM sites like developerWorks, alphaWorks or other wwwPortals relating to IBM technology and participate in the Online PreliminaryRound followed by an Onsite Finals comprising of a Technical Quiz and solving a small problem which is in the form of a brief presentation, all judged by IBM Experts and college faculty.
Winner of this contest will walk away with a Lenovo Ideapad Laptop and the two runners up get IBM goodies.

Phase-I : Online Contest

Phase-I is a online contest where the participant will have to sove 30 questions in 30 minutes.

This round will go online on 28th January 5 pm.

The top 50 participants will go through to the onsite Phase-II.

Only college students are allowed to participate.Please carry your ID cards to the onsite event if you are shortlisted.

Phase-II

1.Phase-II will be a written test held onsite during Technovanza.

2.It will consist of 30 questions based on concepts and technology related to IBM products.

3.The top 5 participants will be shortlisted for Phase-III

Phase-III:

Part-I:

1.3 case studies will be given to the shortlisted participants.

2.Participants can choose any one of them and present a solution.

3.Participants can use laptops to present their solutions.

4.30 minutes will be given to the participants to understand and develop the solution.

5.The judges will evaluate the presentations based on following criteria:
   1.Innovation - 10 points
   2.Technical knowledge depth/breadth/understanding of the problem - 10 points
   3.Presentation skills - 10 points

Part-II:

1.Phase -II will be a 30 minute quickfire round of questions.

2.It will be a test of knowledge rather than application of skills.

3.These questions will be based on Green IT.

The winner will be chosen based on their performance in Part-I and Part-II.
