Technovanza’10 gives you the chance to rediscover your creative side with LOGOMANIA! If you think, you can identify & design logos, (and even if you think you can’t) this competition is for you!!

Do you have it in you to design a logo that will make your company stand out amongst hundreds of other logos in the market? Then Logo Design is for you! You will be given 2 topics with specifications like the name, type and tagline of the company, from which you can select one to design your logo.

EVENT ROUNDS:

Logo Design is completely online. The 2 topics for which a logo is to be designed will be put up on the Technovanza Website in the second week of January. The topic for the logo will give details of:

1. The company name                                                   

2. A slogan or tagline of the company

3. The services or products provided

4. The target customer

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Team Size - maximum 2 members
2. Softwares like Photoshop, Corel Draw, MS Paint or others may be used to design the logo. You may also scan a logo drawn by hand and mail it to us. However, entries drawn by hand will not be entitled to marks under the category of Use of software.
3. Entries received after the last date will not be accepted.
4. All entries must be original.

JUDGING CRITERIA:

1. Innovation & creativity (40%)
2. Attractiveness, ability to be memorable and recognizable(30%)
3. Adherence to the design specifications(20%)

Online Elimination: Starts at 1800hrs, 21st January, Thursday

DESCRIPTION: How good do you think you are at linking a logo to its company? Find out at Logo Guess! In the qualifying round identify as many companies as you can from their logos.

The final round of Logo-Guess is a contest modeled on the lines of the popular game Pictionary. Out of a team of two, one partner is given a company name & has to draw the company logo, on a Doodle-like environment on his computer, while his partner, seated on another pc, out of sight, watches as his partner’s drawing appears on screen and attempts to guess the company. How good are you at drawing logos, or identifying them? This is the best way to find out!!

EVENT ROUNDS:

Selection Round: The first round will be online. A series of logos will be given and participants will have to guess the companies. 5 teams with the highest number of logos correctly identified make it to the final round.

Final Round: One member of each team is given a list of companies, and has to draw the logo for each. These drawings will be visible to his partner. The partner can respond to the drawing with the name of the company, and the other member will then reply with a yes or no to indicate whether the guessed company is correct or not.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Team Size - maximum 2 members
2. For the online selection round, the use of Google is allowed.
3. In the final round, the contestant drawing the logo is not allowed to write any text. Any participant found violating this rule will cause his team to be disqualified.
4. The decision of the Event Heads is final.
